Market Sales Leader - Health Solutions
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our New York, NY office.

As the Health Market Sales Leader, you will report directly to the Resident Sales Director and work closely with the Health Local Practice Leader. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for leading the sales function of the market within Health Solutions.
This position requires extensive coordination and partnering efforts across Aon, including the Health Local Practice Leader, Resident Sales Director, Resident Managing Director, US Health Solutions Sales Leader, and various others based on need and opportunity.
What the day will look like
- Drive growth – Achieve the market’s annual new business goals.
- Develop and implement annual sales plans, consistent with objectives set by the practice and market(s).
- Develop and maintain a sales-focused culture across the office/market.
- Identify and recruit top production talent in the market.
- Work on significant and unique issues requiring proficiency in a complex area requiring a broad grasp of Health and Benefits business.
- Be proficient at all aspects of the healthcare ecosystem and alignment of Aon solutions.
- Lead sales activities for a defined geography.
- Coach, mentor, and assist colleagues in achievement of their personal and overall market goals.
- Channel management strategy, execution & coaching, to encompass Health new and expanded sales from sales channels such as Health and Risk Account Executives (AEs), Health and Risk Producers, Strategic AEs, Innovation and Integrated Solution Leaders, Human Capital, etc.
- Coordinate & execute marketing events and sales follow-up action plans, in close collaboration with marketing personnel.
- Administer Health Sales Operations, including sales goal setting and allocation, pipeline analysis and reporting, revenue recognition, new business forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Be the point person for resourcing initial prospect meetings/closing details.
- Assist/coach on presentations and finalist meetings.
- Conduct competitive analyses and review sales performance and positioning.

- Influence colleagues to work together effectively within and across business lines nationally, regionally, and globally.
- Target new and existing clients with values-based solutions.
- Proactively and consistently interact and communicate with prospects, clients, and market partners.
- Lead local market recruiting efforts and maintain current knowledge of talent in the market.
- Produce at a minimum, one times annual salary.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Ten plus years of health and benefit sales, consulting and/or sales leadership.
- Experience with sales pipeline management and forecasting.
- Prior experience managing direct reports.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Master of Business Administration is a plus.
- Appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000 to $300,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
