Job Description: Radiology and CT Technologist Positions
Key Responsibilities:
- Radiology Technologists:
- Conduct all standard diagnostic imaging tests, including surgical, general fluoroscopy, and trauma examinations using radiographic, fluoroscopy, portable, and C-arm equipment.
- Support radiologists or attending physicians during special examinations to ensure the highest level of diagnostic clarity in a professional and efficient manner.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations meticulously.
- Provide patient care that is safe, respectful, and efficient.
- Implement best practices for radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection prevention.
- CT Technologists:
- Carry out routine and specialized CT imaging procedures, engaging in technical activities associated with the CT scanner operation.
- Prepare and perform CT scans, ensuring the safe use of equipment as per guidelines.
- Manage IV access with aseptic technique and administer contrast media under the supervision of a physician.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
- Offer patient care that is safe, considerate, and efficient.
Position Requirements:
- Radiology Technologists:
- Must possess a degree from an A.R.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Required clinical experience in diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopy gained through an A.R.R.T.-approved program.
- A.R.R.T. certification required within six months of employment (must be actively pursuing certification with an active Washington State X-ray Technician license).
- Must have Washington State Certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Availability for standby and on-call duties as necessary, with a response time of within 20 minutes when called.
- CT Technologists:
- A.R.R.T. certification in X-Ray required.
- Must have Washington State certification as a radiologic technologist.
- Completion of an A.R.R.T.-approved radiologic technology program is mandatory.
- At least six months of experience as a radiologic technologist, including fluoroscopy.
- Must be available for standby and on-call duties as needed, with a 20-minute response time when at CWH.
- Part-time employees may be required to work on scheduled days off.
