Position Summary
This is a very special position for a bi-lingual RN who likes to reach out to the community and help children who have asthma or reactive airway disease. This position requires the incumbent to staff the "Breath Mobile" two days a week, driving through the communities in a state-of-the-art bus to administer breathing treatments. The remainder of the time, the incumbent will be working in the clinic with providers treating patients with pulmonary ailments. BI-LINGUAL is REQUIRED.
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family, adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
- Two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four-year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
- Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
