Working at our academic hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, the MRI team has access to the latest and most advanced MR equipment needed to provide the clearest and most accurate images for complex and critical situations. We are looking for an MRI Charge Technologist to join our growing team!
Position Details:
- No Call!
- 3 days a week (No Weekends)
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Week 1)
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (Week 2)
- 6:00am to 6:30pm
- RT(R), MR or equivalent

Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI, CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Assists staff technologists in prioritizing and problem-solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to advanced modality techs.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
- Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs.
- Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists, including problem solving and mentoring.
- Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor, ensuring proper communication.

- RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES
