Sentara Health is currently seeking a Patient Services Coordinator at our Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Position Overview:
As a Patient Services Coordinator with Sentara, you will coordinate activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification/obtaining precertification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission (faxing). The purpose of this position is to ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. The Patient Services Coordinator maintains statistics and acts as liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Experience Required:
- Two years of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Completion of a healthcare-related certificate program.
- Associate's Level Degree or higher.
- Transferable skills (i.e., one year or more in a call center, customer service, etc.).
