We are searching for a Full Time, Day shift Master's-prepared Clinical Supervisor for our Social Services Inpatient Team.
What Role Will You Play?
The Clinical Supervisor will play an important leadership role within the Social Services Inpatient Team for the Group Therapists and Clinical Case Managers. You will maintain a therapeutic presence and support the Group Therapists with clinical supervision and clinical resources. You will also supervise the Psychosocial Assessment process completed by the Clinical Case Managers.
Should you also be credentialed as an SUDP (preferred), then you will supervise and provide support for the Substance Use Disorder counseling team.

What Will You Get To Do?
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for:
- Providing clinical supervision to Group Therapists with Associates' level licenses. This may include Group Therapists at satellite locations.
- Implementing evidenced-based program material and curriculum for patients.
- Orienting and training Group Therapists new hires on inpatient psychiatric treatment planning and group therapy interventions.
- Conducting ongoing training and supervision to all Group Therapists on utilizing group therapy as a treatment modality for an inpatient psychiatric population and on the treatment planning process.
- Observing groups on the units and offering support and feedback to the Group Therapists.
- Ensuring adherence to the group schedule on the units.
- Overseeing the Psychosocial Assessment (PSA) process and providing ongoing training for the Clinical Case Managers.
- Group Therapist scheduling and coverage.
- Attending interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to provide observations and feedback to Group Therapists, as well as to offer support on the treatment planning process.
The Clinical Supervisor with an SUDP is responsible for:
- All items listed above.
- Providing clinical supervision to SUDPTs.
- Orienting and training SUDPT and SUDP new hires.
- Conducting ongoing training and supervision to SUDPTs and SUDPs on utilizing group therapy and completing ASAM evaluations.
- SUDPT/SUDP scheduling and coverage.
QualificationsWhat Does Fairfax Require for this Role?
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work (MSW) is required as well as the desire to help our patients improve their lives. You will need an unrestricted LICSW credential from the WA DOH, to meet all DOH requirements to be an Approved Supervisor, and at least 2 years of experience as a clinical supervisor. You should also have a minimum of 2 years of experience facilitating groups in a hospital or psychiatric setting.
It is preferred that you also have an unrestricted SUDP credential and meet all DOH requirements to be an Approved Supervisor for SUDPTs.
