Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Dallas, TX
Shift: Monday - Thursday (8:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 4 Shifts Per Week (40 Hours)
Salary Range: $33 - $48 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for external candidates
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound procedures and contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Strong experience in the field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures following exam protocols and maintain efficient production standards.
- Utilize AIDET communication techniques to establish rapport with patients, explain procedures, and assess patient comfort.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and configuring equipment controls.
- Ensure safety of patients and staff by adhering to infection control, radiation policies, and safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in compliance with cleanliness and operational standards, and report any issues to management.
- Accurately document patient information, including requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, and procedure details.
- Adhere to system workflows, including PACS, EMR, modality worklist integrity, and record management protocols.
- Maintain medical imaging records in compliance with department standards for timely interpretation.
- Train and mentor new team members on services, procedures, and initiatives.
- Be available for on-call duties if required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification or registration in one of the following:
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, or Musculoskeletal
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or Breast Sonography (BS)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) from Cardio Credentialing International (CCI)
- Prior ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
