Certified Medical Coding Specialist

If you are the Certified Professional Coder we are looking for, you will:
- Review and audit medical records to accurately code care.
- Utilize available skills and coding resources to determine appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS including specialty specific codes.
- Analyze medical records and provide feedback for any areas of documentation improvement.
- Be professional, enthusiastic, and conscientious.
- Apply the technology, analytical, billing, and coding expertise you currently have and develop new skills.

- Collaborate with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- Possess strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Experience & Education Requirements:
- Proficient in ICD-10 CM, CPT, HCPCS.
- Strong Medical Terminology and Anatomy understanding.
- Coding certification required (CPC, CIC, CCA, CCA) - CPC preferred.
- CPMA, CASCC certification preferred.
- Must have Coding experience in any or all of the following specialties:
- General Orthopedics.
- Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
- Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Additional coding experience with the following specialties highly preferred but not required:
- Pain Management.
- Vascular Surgery.
- Hand Surgery.
- Foot and Ankle.

Work Location: Hybrid/Remote - **This position offers the flexibility for a hybrid/remote arrangement, contingent upon the candidate's proximity to our headquarters in New Jersey.**
