About The Position
- Job Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical Room

- Shift: 8hr Day Shift (40 hours per week)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred; open to first-time travelers
- License: WI license required
- Certifications:
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS
Must-Have: Strong circulating skills; able to circulate general, ortho, OBGYN; scrub experience preferred.
Job Description:
- Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center
- Handle average cases of 25-30 per day in a 12-bed unit
- Work with patient types in general, urology, ortho (total joints, ORIF), spine (multi-level, complex posterior/anterior), OBGYN (D&C, hysterectomy, no c-sections), limited vascular and robotics cases
- Top 3 OR cases include: Ortho, General, OBGYN
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Facilitate support on the unit with assistance from receptionists, charge nurse, unit educator, and in-house anesthesia
- Required to float to inpatient units as taskers, runners, helping hands, sitter
- Must participate in weekend rotation and on-call scheduling as specified
- Complete facility and unit orientation over 2 days, including meeting with educators, modules, and preceptorship
- Adhere to holiday expectations with possible on-call duty
