Gundersen Health System is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence who has a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with adults in the clinical outpatient and inpatient hospital setting. This position supports the opportunity to work in a highly collegial environment with multiple disciplines.
Primary responsibilities would include providing evaluation and treatment services to:
- Adults with communication, cognition, and/or swallowing difficulties in the outpatient setting located at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse.
Skill in serving patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurogenic diseases/disorders is required to appropriately serve adult patients. Competency with tests/protocols for language impairment, motor speech disorders, cognitive impairment, right hemisphere dysfunction, basic voice disorders, and dysphagia indicated. Interest and knowledge of Augmentative Alternative Communication is a plus. Proficiency with video fluoroscopy preferred. This provider may be part of a department rotation that serves patients on weekends and holidays.
