Per Diem PA position with the Neonatology Department at Hackensack University Medical Center
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking exceptional candidates for multiple positions in our growing health network across the state of New Jersey. Join our multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, neonatal-perinatal fellows, pediatric residents, neonatal PAs and neonatal nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, respiratory therapists, social workers, pediatric pharmacists, physical therapists, case managers, lactation consultants and speech language pathologists to care for complex neonatal ICU patients.
The Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies:
- Leadership
- Direct clinical practice
- Consultation/collaboration
- Coaching/guiding
- Research
- Ethical decision making
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing or Physician Assistant program.
- Master's degree.
- Maintains clinical competencies through participating in continuing educational programs (contact hours per year), and clinical practice as mandated by Board of Nursing and national certification body.
- Experience in relevant patient care setting or as regulations dictate.
- In collaborative agreement with physicians on staff- fulfills terms of collaborative agreement.
- NNP with experience in a Level III-IV NICU or NICU experience as a PA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Neonatology NP or PA with NICU experience or training
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License (for Nurse Practitioners)
- Advance Practice Nurse License or NJ Physician Assistant License.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- Maintains Nation or Board Certification as appropriate in area of specialty.
