At NorthBay Health, the Respiratory Care Practitioner has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to deliver safe, effective, quality respiratory care according to the philosophy, goals, policies, procedures, and guidelines of Respiratory Care Services. The RCP utilizes the Relationship Based Care Model and the four C’s of the NorthBay Way to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients assigned to his/her care. The RCP makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient, supporting the mission, vision, values, and expectations of excellence of the organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care Program.
- Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License by the state of California. CRT required; RRT required within one year. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification required at time of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of 300 Student Clinical Rotation Hours from CoARC approved RT School or previous critical care clinical experience. RCPs must be licensed by the State of California and have additional training and experience in neonatal respiratory care, demonstrated by completion of a formal neonatal respiratory therapy course at an approved school of respiratory therapy that includes didactic and clinical coursework.
- Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality. Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Compensation: $47.42 per hour
