Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring a full time Employee Health & Infection Preventionist to join our team.
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited, providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.
Position information:
The Employee Health/Infection Preventionist is responsible for the maintenance of health programs for employees and for the provision of medical/health services to staff as they relate to occupational risk and Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital (WBHH) policy. This position is also responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the WBHH Infection Prevention (IP) Program. The IP will develop, analyze, and interpret information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates. This position will consult and document recommendations in the Electronic Health Records (EHREHR). This position serves as a resource to other staff and leadership and requires independent decision-making skills and analytical problem-solving.

- Salary: $81,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

- Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
- Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.
What We Require:
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
Certification/License:
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (preferred) or attainment of certification within 3 years of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Work Experience:
- Two (2) years’ experience in Infection Prevention and Control and/or employee health preferred
