Job Summary and Qualifications
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. This is a full-time role. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.
As an MRI Technologist:
- You will demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
- You will facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare, and administer the appropriate contrast material.
- You will prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
- You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
- You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
- You will accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate.
