Responsibilities
Our twelve-room OR suite maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, which enables us to form close relationships with patients and their families during very difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7.
General Surgery is seeking a Lead Anesthesia Technician to work as a member of our Surgical Services team in our designated Level 1 trauma center. This position requires the Lead to utilize a wide array of knowledge, technical skills and critical thinking abilities to oversee and facilitate the anesthesia needs of the OR. This role is also responsible to ensure that the OR equipment needed is available in order to safely and effectively care for patients.
We do a variety of cases from General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Robotics, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Vascular and Dental. Our 12 newly renovated rooms are spacious and loaded with state-of-the-art technology (SI & XI robots).
Responsibilities:
- Calibrates and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment
- Cleans and maintains anesthesia equipment
- Serves as a resource for the department and staff accordingly
- Oversee daily operations including scheduling, staffing, evaluating and orientation of anesthesia technicians

Minimum:
- Five years related experience
- High School diploma/GED
- American Heart Association BLS
Preferred:
Associate's degree
