Job Summary
This role is located in Greenville, Easley and Seneca, South Carolina.
The CT Tech (Mobile) is part of the Imaging Float Pool. All team members within the Imaging Float Pool agree to float to any Upstate facility. Under the direction of the manager and the in-charge technologist, the CT Technologist is expected to perform a variety of procedures applying ionizing radiation. Performance of specific tasks is indicated below for CT purpose according to the department policy. Positive contribution to interpersonal relationships concerning all parties is according to GHS policy. Performs CT scans as directed by the Radiologist/Manager.
Responsibilities
- Identifies patients with two identifiers. Communicates with nursing or physician concerning patient. Informs nursing of patients that need IV sedation or biopsies. Fills out CT questionnaire and female questionnaire on all patients between the ages of 11-50 yrs. old. Positions patients accurately for all CT procedures.
- Explains CT procedure to patient and/or family member. Obtains completed questionnaire and proper history and clinical from patient, floor or physician's office. Informs patients and families of all delays. Trains co-workers and students.
- Assures the relieving shift has received hand-off communication about the patients prior to them leaving the work area. Keeps the room cleaned and stocked at all times. Assists other technologists in other rooms during downtime.
