The School of Sciences at Indiana University Kokomo invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, 10-month, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Informatics beginning January 1, 2025. Information about the School can be found at https://www.iuk.edu/sciences/.
Responsibilities include teaching various undergraduate courses in computer science and informatics, such as:
- Computer programming and problem-solving
- Information representation
- Computer structures
- System analysis & design
- Other core courses in the computer science and informatics degree programs depending on expertise
Additionally, the position has begun to teach in collaborative online degree programs. Course load will typically be three courses (9 cr.) per semester (72% FTE). Research with undergraduates is expected and supported. Research in computer science, informatics (or in other closely related areas), and publications are required for promotion and tenure. Appropriate university/professional/community service is also required, including committee work, assessment of the major, and engaging in campus initiatives to increase student success, retention, and enrollment.
