Our client’s practice is seeking a skilled, confident, and compassionate ER doctor who enjoys all aspects of emergency and critical care as well as the interaction between the patient and owner as an extension of referring veterinarians’ practices.
The practice is a busy Emergency and Specialty hospital which consists of specialists in surgery, internal medicine, neurology/neurosurgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, radiology, and dentistry in an award-winning, state-of-the-art facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The specialists, emergency doctors, and interns take a “one hospital” approach together with our experienced administrative and technical staff to provide the highest quality compassionate health care and service to patients, pet owners, and referring veterinarians.
The 32,000 sq. ft. hospital opened in 2004 and features a separate emergency entrance and lobby, 16 exam rooms, 4 surgical and 1 dental suite, video-endoscopy, mobile and stationary color-flow Doppler ultrasounds, a large central ICU with oxygen cage, Pulmonetics ventilator, Telemetry, portable ultrasound unit, in-house lab, spiral CT scanner, MRI, and digital radiography. In addition to standard full blood analysis, our in-house lab equipment includes a colloid osmometer, lactatometer, coagulation monitoring (PT/PTT), microscope, and blood typing/crossmatching. The practice has both noninvasive and invasive blood pressure monitoring, and continuous central venous pressure monitoring, as well as negative pressure wound therapy.
The 46 cage ICU features separate wards for small breed dogs, large dog runs, and cats while keeping them all visible behind glass. This unique arrangement affords feline patients the quiet environment they need and allows loud or infectious patients to be isolated. Critical patients and oxygen cage are housed at the front of our ICU. The practice has a fully stocked separate isolation ward as well as a step-down ward for less critical patients. Emergency staff consists of highly skilled and trained, reliable certified veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants who are committed to supporting doctors.
