Immediate Medical Care is a privately owned group of urgent care facilities dedicated to treating the people of this community. We are currently growing and expanding our services. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our amazing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a diverse skill set to provide comprehensive medical services.
Duties
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments and make treatment decisions that are in the best interest of the patient.
- Perform ambulatory and acute care.
- Administer vaccinations, boosters, and other injections.
- Conduct suture procedures and wound care.
- Utilize physiology knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
- Manage medical office systems efficiently.
- Work comp and DOT physicals.
- Experience in orthopedics, treatment of injuries, and DME.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and x-rays.
- Take initiative, collaborate as a team, and provide high-level support to achieve high-level outcomes in patient care.
- Ability to provide basic life support in emergency situations.
- Understand case management protocols and procedures.
- Prescribe medications and treatment based on the patient's needs and in accordance with state regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with electronic medical records, documentation protocol, ICD-10, CPT codes.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and ability to effectively communicate with other medical providers and staff.
- FMCSA medical examiner license, preferred but not required.
- Experience reading x-rays and labs.
- Experience in ambulatory or acute care settings, preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted APRN or PA license in the State of Kansas.

Pay: $55-65 based on experience
