Job Overview:
We are seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our Urgent Care team. To provide high quality care of all patients and assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients.
Requirements:
- Bilingual-Spanish Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- NP/PA Certification and TX licensure are required
- The employee shall meet the requirements of the Texas Board of Medical Examiners; and be licensed to practice medicine without restrictions within the State of Texas
- Licensure must be unencumbered, free of any open/unresolved disciplinary actions including probation or restrictions against privilege to practice
- Current DEA certification
- Current CPR certification required
- Must be computer literate with ability to enter information in the Convenient Urgent Care Clinic EMR system and compile reports or data as requested
- Must be able to meet and maintain current credentialing and privileging requirements
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Willingness to work Weekends
- 2-3 Years Experience Required (Minimum)
- 10.5 HR Shifts
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Assist Medical Director in developing clinical practice guidelines
- Ability to follow Clinical practice guidelines – including adhering to the immunization policy and the Convenient Urgent Care Management Compliance Policy
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Experience working in Urgent Care Setting
- Experience with Medical Procedures: Laceration Repair, Stitches/Sutures/Staples, Incision and Drainage, Subungual Hematoma, Ingrown Toenail Removal, Splint/Casting, Aspiration Procedures, Trigger Point Injection
- Experience with Weight-loss Management
- Experience with administering IV
- EMR Experience Eclinicals
