LocationOur client is located in Leonardtown, Maryland. A small community in the heart of St. Mary’s county. This town is known for its beautiful landscapes, incredible waterways and heart-warming people. Leonardtown is undergoing a current renaissance of its downtown with the addition of an eclectic mix of shops and a number of world-class restaurants. The quaint Town Square, historical buildings, and art galleries are just some of the options to explore. You might feel like you’ve been transported back in time as you enter this charming city!
Practice OverviewOur client is a small practice that has been serving the local community since 1990. Their modern facility is a state-of-the-art 2 story building that includes 5 exam rooms, comfort room, isolation room, and an inhouse lab pharmacy. Their practice offers behavioral counseling, wellness, nutritional and weight management, laboratory work, dermatology, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy and boarding.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited school required
- Licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Maryland
- 1-3 years of experience is preferred; New grads are encouraged to apply
- General medicine, surgical and dental experience required or willingness to be mentored
- Experienced with exotics and ultrasound is a plus!
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
