Location
Our client is located in Peoria, Illinois. A city in central Illinois and is an equal distance from Chicago and St. Louis. Peoria is the largest city that is set on the Illinois River giving its downtown picturesque views that only a riverfront can provide. If you enjoy the great outdoors, the city has more than 9,000 acres of parks, which include the Peoria Zoo, Luthy Botanical Garden, and public golf courses.
Practice Overview
Our client is a privately owned general practice serving pets of all shapes and sizes for over eight years and is proud to have Fear Free Certified professionals on their team. They provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care, and extended stay medical veterinary boarding services. They are committed to building careers for their staff, and providing an environment where people can grow professionally and personally while having fun at work every day.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Nurture and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Educate clients and staff on treatment options and recommendations
- Maintain a positive work environment
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program required
- Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Illinois
- A minimum of three years of experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Small animal, urgent care, or emergency medicine experience is preferred
- Highly motivated, with a desire to learn and grow
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
