VETSS in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a compassionate Relief Veterinarian to join our practice! This relief position is an ideal opportunity for an experienced doctor who seeks the flexibility, balance, and earning potential of relief work at a well-established hospital.
Founded in 1989, our 5600 square foot practice is beautiful, modern and spacious. We are equipped with 4 exam rooms, modern equipment including a new dental suite, new ultrasound unit, cautery, digital x-ray, U/S machine, in-house laboratory and more to provide you with the tools needed to provide excellent patient care and client service. We believe in compassionate care, superior client service and professional development of our team.

- 7 driven and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technicians with additional assistants currently pursuing licensure
- LVTs are leveraged so DVM’s can focus on cases and client communication
- Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician has several years of experience in the field within a leadership role; very skilled with surgery and emergency

- Treatment area structured for optimized flow and hospitalized patient care and visibility
- The caseload is evenly split between general practice and urgent care, with weekends primarily dedicated to urgent care.

Compensation:
- Negotiable schedule and compensation
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License upon hire
- Ability to provide Certification of Insurance
