Security Support Personnel Project Lead
Pay Range: $77,075 - $95,664 annually
Shields Point, LLC is seeking a skilled Security Support Personnel Project Lead to join our team to compete for the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) G2 contract. This position is contingent upon the award of the contract and will provide day-to-day security support, focusing on multi-disciplinary aspects of information, personnel, operations, industrial, physical, communications security, and anti-terrorism/force protection duties.
The Project Lead is responsible for the overall management and oversight of the contract. The Project Lead is dual-hatted, performing daily contractual tasks as well as project lead tasks. The Project Lead has full authority to act for the contractor on all matters relating to this contract and will interact with the government Contracting Officer Representative on a daily basis. The Project Lead will lead a team to provide multi-disciplinary security support, including aspects of special security, information security, personnel security, operations security, industrial security, physical security, communications security, and anti-terrorism/force protection duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative Sensitive Compartmented Information day-to-day functions and duties.
- Conduct access control and entry/exit inspections to prevent unauthorized items in classified areas.
- Escort un-cleared personnel and visitors.
- Prepare and review Visitor Certification Requests for accuracy.
- Perform daily opening/closing and end-of-day security checks.
- Document security activities and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist in enforcing security protocols and notify staff of any security violations.
- Conduct clearance eligibility and access verifications.
- Operate and monitor access control and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide security briefings and assist with security indoctrinations and debriefs.
- Must be available during normal work hours, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed for administrative reasons.
- Ensure security policies and directives found in DOD 5520.22-M, National Industry Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM): AR 380-5, Information Security Program, and all other applicable policies and regulations are adhered to.
- Ensure all required training is completed.
- Ensure all required deliverables are submitted to the customer.
- Ensure all labor hours are accurately submitted to the government.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in security operations, preferably in a government or military setting.
Desired Certifications:
- Possess certificates within the last 36 months from the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) courses including SCI Security Refresher, Storage Containers and Facilities, Introduction to DOD Personnel Security Adjudications, Introduction to Personnel Security, Introduction to Derivative Classification, Identifying and Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information, Introduction to Information Security, Transmission and Transportation of DOD IF 107.16, Marking Classified Information, Unauthorized Disclosure of Classified Information for DOD, and others as specified.
Skills:
- Proficient in office automation including word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, and other personal computer applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in using Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
Security Clearance:
- Must possess a final Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
