Job Title: RN Unit Manager
Location: Burlington, VT 05401
Contract: 14 weeks
Pay Rate: $58/hr
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Schedule: 40 hours
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of a specific unit within a healthcare facility, including supervising nursing staff and coordinating patient care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care needs, and ensure that appropriate interventions and treatments are provided.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Manage and oversee the unit’s budget, including staffing levels, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
- BLS Certification (Required)
