Salary: $95,688 ($6,425 per month, includes a $1,549 monthly shortage differential), SR-20, Step M, BU:13

At Hilo Medical Center, a nationally-recognized "Top Performing" hospital, the Speech Pathologist level III is a valuable member of our team. This position independently provides diagnostic evaluations and/or direct services in speech-language; coordinates services with physicians, nursing staff, social workers and other appropriate staff; performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify, you must meet all the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated, the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experience is credited based on a 40-hour workweek.
Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in speech pathology. Evidence of the appropriate training (e.g. official transcript of diploma) should be submitted with the application to be given credit for education. A legible photocopy will be accepted. However, Hilo Medical Center reserves the right to request an official copy.
Experience: Completion of all licensing requirements specified in the Rules of the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology of the State of Hawaii to practice as a Speech Pathologist.
Certification: Current BLS is required.
Licensure: Current Hawaii State Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology to practice as a Speech Pathologist.
Driver's License: Possession of a valid license to drive in the State of Hawaii.
MEDICAL/PHYSICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT: Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment physical examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, two-step tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for physical examinations, except the cost for drug screening, shall be borne by the applicant and not the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
