Overview
This is a Weekend Alternative position for night shift. Work 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday and get pay and benefits as a full time employee.

Join our innovative Acuity Adaptable Unit, where you will provide top-notch nursing care to patients with varying levels of acuity. This unique environment allows for a seamless transition of care, ensuring patients receive consistent and high-quality medical attention throughout their stay.
As an RN in our Acuity Adaptable Unit, you will:
- Deliver comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients across a spectrum of medical conditions, from stable to critical.
- Utilize your broad clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Work in a flexible and dynamic setting, adapting quickly to changes in patient acuity and care requirements.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them with the knowledge and confidence to manage their health.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates, implements, and evaluates the Patient Plan of Care and outcomes.
- Collaborates with the health care team to promote positive patient outcomes.
- Is seen as a patient advocate.
- Timely implementation of nursing interventions.
- Technical Skills: demonstrates appropriate clinical skills and technical competence in providing patient care.
- Critical Thinking: demonstrates appropriate clinical judgment.
- Assesses, analyzes and communicates patient information in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Accurately and promptly documents all patient assessments, interventions, responses and provider communication. Assesses patient safety risk factors and identifies those patients requiring specific safety interventions including skin integrity, fall risk & appropriate use of restraints.
- Follows medication safety policy. Promptly initiates appropriate interventions for safety needs.
- Completes Safety Tracking Tools as required.
- Delegation and supervision: supervises assigned staff, delegates appropriately, takes responsibility for all care provided to patients assigned. Reports all performance issues of team members to ensure all patients receive appropriate care and attention. Educational needs of patient: Assesses educational needs of patient and family, provides appropriate written and verbal instructions.
- Documents assessment and education provided.
- Provider orders: Performs ongoing review, initiation and implementation of patient orders in a timely manner every shift.
- Prioritization: prioritizes responsibilities and issues, taking into account urgency, patient needs, and seeks appropriate resources. Problem solves independently. Multitasks efficiently and demonstrates effective time management skills.
- Professional Accountability: Independently seeks out other clinical experiences to enhance knowledge base. Actively assists others and accepts additional duties or assignments. Timely completion of assigned education and annual competencies. Actively engaged in unit based councils and performance improvement. Recognizes unit needs and works to help facilitate solutions.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 1 year related experience as an RN.
