Overview
Private Duty LPN - Day Shift
Location: McKenzie, TN
Overview: Join our team as a Private Duty LPN in McKenzie, TN, providing compassionate, one-on-one care in a home setting. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, perfect for those looking for stability with daytime hours. With a total of 35 hours per week, you’ll have your evenings and weekends free!
Work Schedule
- Days: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 7:45am - 2:45pm
Skills Required
Experience Requirement
Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience. Training Available: Comprehensive training is offered if the experience requirement is met.

Responsibilities
- Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
- Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN
- Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
- Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately
- Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and reports any changes
- Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient's file accordingly
- Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing
- Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Active CPR certification
- Familiarity with electronic health records
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
