The CT Technologist Trainee will learn to perform a variety of standard and specialty Computed Tomography (CT) procedures with accuracy, utilizing radiofrequencies, time varying gradients, and a high magnetic field, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions with supervision. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care. Must demonstrate competency performing routine CT exams within six months of commencement of the CT training program.
CT Technologist in Training openings:
- Canton, GA - Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist to meet all Company requirements.
- Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special radiographic images of specific body parts.
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Screen patients for CT safety prior to procedure performance.
- Perform Radiological procedures when not performing CT Duties.
- Start I.V.’s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
- Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills to appropriately evaluate situations and determine the best method for achieving optimal results.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy/physiology.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of 24 month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology.
- 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality.
- ARRT certification in Radiology.
- IV credentialed if applicable.
- BLS certification.
