We are seeking a Nurse Supervisor for Oncology Administration to join our Oncology Team!
GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Is directly responsible for coordinating and supervising the Outpatient Chemotherapy Infusion and the Infusion Therapy departments.
Schedule: Four 10 hour shifts, 730-1800 with Wednesdays off
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date.
- All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application in process for the secondary state within 90 days of hire.
- IDAHO ONLY: Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
- OCN Certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Three to five years of nursing experience in a service specialty is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Provides operational oversight consistent with hospital and departmental mission statements, strategic plan and department business plan.
- Identifies customer groups, assessing their needs, and leading department operations to successfully achieve service objectives.
- Develops and updates policies and procedures.
- Responsible for talent management including hiring, staffing, performance management, and corrective action with staff.
- Prepares annual department budget and monitor departmental performance to the budget and adjust expenditures accordingly.
- Participates with Director in planning for expansion and program development of service in accordance with business plans.
- Leads annual department Performance Improvement plan including opportunities for patient care improvement, implementation of action plan and monitoring departmental performance.
- Participates in the selection of sources for needed services. Works collaboratively with purchasing to maintain budget guidelines and provide cost-effective services.
- Manages team to provide a high quality and cost effective service including providing direct patient care if the needs of the patients' create that opportunity.
- Promotes and maintain a collegial and professional working relationship with physicians.
