The role you’ll contribute:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer uses Ultrasound to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data to aid the physician in the diagnosis of disease and/or injury while maintaining the highest standard of patient care.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
· Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images.
· Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
· Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· High School Graduate, satisfactory completion of an approved medical sonography program
· At least 2 years of Ultrasound Experience
· Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in one discipline including Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Breast, or RVT or registry eligible with 12 months to become registered.
· BLS required.
