Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling or therapy, with a commitment to providing evidence-based interventions to support individuals experiencing various mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients, while also promoting mental health awareness and advocating for the holistic well-being of our community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Offer empathetic support and guidance to clients navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure integrated care and continuity of services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of mental health to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities and peer consultation to support clinical growth and competency.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure in the State of Nebraska as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or equivalent (LIMHP, LMHP, PLMHP, LCSW) Dually licensed professionals are preferred but not required including but not limited to Provisionally Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (PLADC, LADC)
- Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy to diverse populations, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate treatment plans based on clients' unique strengths and needs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to client care.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and effectively manage time and caseload responsibilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and basic computer skills.
