We are currently hiring a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Nexus Mille Lacs Clinical Treatment team. Nexus-Mille Lacs Family Healing offers trauma-informed, family-centered, nationally recognized treatment for boys, ages 10-19, with significant mental health issues and harmful sexual behaviors. Our evidence-based practices include:
- Therapy – Individual, Family, and Group
- EMDR (Eye Movement De-Sensitization Reprocessing)
- TF-CBT (Trauma Focused – Cognitive Based Therapy)
- Vocational Skill Development
- Experiential Therapy – Sensory, Movement, Sand, Animal Interactions, and Play
Position Summary
- Provide assessments and treatment services to individuals, families and groups, as well as facilitate partnership strategies with the community.
- Participate in the initial interview of residents pursuant to family history and provide a written assessment.
- Provide family and individual therapy services to residents and their families.
- Assess readiness for discharge in conjunction with other team members.
- Ensure compliance with governing agency and Nexus reporting requirements.
- Educate staff about family treatment integration theory and techniques and its application to residents.
- Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths functional assessment in accordance with the TCOM (collaborative) principles.
- Through the collaborative effort with family, youth and providers, develop and monitor the individual treatment plans.
- Provide individualized, youth-focused, strength and evidence-based family and individual therapy models to youth and families.
- Develop and facilitate milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed, educational, and treatment focused.
Required Education and Licensure
- Minimum of Master’s or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences, human services, social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy, or related fields.
- Must be licensed in related clinical field (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC) per state board requirements OR on track for licensure. We do provide supervision hours for those who need it free of charge upon hire!
- Valid driver’s license required.
Schedule & Pay:
- Full time or Part Time (Monday - Friday).
- Flexible scheduling plus a remote day for documentation!
- Pay Range: starting at $70,000 per year for full-time Clinical Trainees.
- Sign-on bonus of $5,000.
