Psychologist 2 (PSYCHOLOGIST 2) Job Summary
The University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting a psychologist for the Pediatric Collaborative Care Program (PCCP). The PCCP is based in the UC Davis Integrated Behavioral Health Services which provides mental health services for patients within the pediatric and family medicine primary care clinics at UC Davis Health. This care model provides evidence-based short-term therapy for qualifying patients. The care team is comprised of pediatric primary care providers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and trainees. This role includes program oversight, clinical supervision of trainees, and providing direct clinical care.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Current licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of California, or license eligible
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA and/or PCSAS accredited training program and internship.
- At least 2 years' experience working and/or training in an outpatient setting.
- Specific training and experience in child and adolescent psychopathology and/or pediatric psychology
- Knowledge of basic psychological principles and evidence-based practices
- Training in/experience providing evidence-based individual, group, and family-based psychological interventions
- Experience conducting psychological assessments/evaluations with children and adolescents
- Experience working with families from ethnically diverse and underserved populations that struggle with multiple environmental stressors, including family mental health problems and lack of access to resources.
- Experience with documentation in accordance with accepted, professional standards.
- Administrative ability to develop and implement policy, to oversee professional billing, business obligations and contractual requirements related to patient care.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in collaborating with professionals from multiple systems of care, including mandated reporting agencies.
- Specific training/experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent management training (PMT), exposure and response prevention, and/or family-based interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical training and supervision to residents, medical students, and psychology interns/postdoctoral fellows in group and individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment.
- Advanced communication skills (verbal and written)
- Fluency in Spanish

Department Overview The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs, child psychology doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows, and 90 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists at the UC Davis Medical Center and the Northern California VA Health System. The Department provides a stimulating teaching and academic environment.
