Responsibilities
About This Position
In keeping with the Marian Medical Center philosophy, the Interventional Cardiology Registered Nurse is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing, patient care, and the ability to practice independently. Also serves as a resource person as well as a preceptor. Under minimal supervision, identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current or within previous 2 years, work experience in Critical Care (CCU) primarily in Cardiovascular specialty, Emergency Department (ED), or cardiac catheterization services department or interventional radiology department. Exceptions made on a case-by-case basis.
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Program.
- Current Unencumbered California RN State License.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Angiographic and/or scrub experience desired with CCL, Electrophysiology Lab (EP), or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) CCRN certification.
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS) certification.
- CCI Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
