HSB’s Custom Risk Division is experiencing rapid growth, creating exciting opportunities for career development. As an Underwriting Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the expansion of our business. This internship offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and growing environment.
As an Underwriting Intern, you will contribute to various projects, shadow experienced underwriters, and participate in key aspects of the policy lifecycle. You will also gain exposure to critical support functions across HSB, providing comprehensive understanding of the underwriting process. This internship provides a valuable foundation for those aspiring to pursue a career in underwriting.
Qualifications:
- Completed Junior year or higher
- Major in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Must have the ability to work in the Hartford office for three days each week
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
