The position will support the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Meridian, MS.
Pay Range: $70-$84 Hourly
Shift: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 1 hour lunch break
Facility Physical Environment: Naval Branch Health Clinic, Meridian, MS

Essential Duties: This position is to support the Psychological Health initiative under the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (PH and TBI) program. The program seeks to address gaps in the care available for the prevalent injuries among combatants from the global war on terrorism. Through adoption of risk-based staffing models and a uniform, best practice standard of care across the Department of Defense (DOD), the program seeks to ensure easy, rapid access to PH care for all beneficiaries and to ensure that transition across networks of care recognizes the unique care coordination and case management requirements for PH and TBI patients.
Job Specific Duties: The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
- Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited psychology program.
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed clinical psychologist.
- License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist from any state.
- Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Security: Must possess the ability to pass a government background check or security clearance.
