Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor the use and misuse of prescription medications and illicit drugs. The testing is used by healthcare professionals to obtain objective information about patients’ recent use of prescription medications and/or illicit drugs and helps monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Submit authorization requests for drug testing services to various payers and all tasks associated with their follow-up and review.
- Daily data entry for medical claims into TELCOR (medical billing software system).
- Ability to meet individual and team goals with minimal errors as assigned by the Billing Manager.
- Uphold Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA compliance guidelines about billing, collections, and PHI information.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Conduct research to ensure all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained and entered into the system accurately.
- Evaluate patient accounts for existing insurance coverage.
- Obtain and assess all documentation required for eligibility determination.
- Initiate and maintain proper follow-up to ensure timely processing and completion of all mandated applications and accompanying documentation.
- Adhere to internal protocols and contractual obligations as apply to specific payor requirements.
- Develop system solutions to eligibility engine mapping responses.
- Review problematic accounts, and make recommendations to the Eligibility Supervisor as needed.
- Participate in educational activities and attend weekly staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of healthcare medical billing experience.
- Knowledge of business office procedures.
- Familiarity with insurance basics, including PPO, HMO, POS, Capitation, Workers Comp, MVA.
- Understanding of government programs such as Medicare, Medicare HMO, Medicaid, Medicaid HMO, Tricare, Veterans Affairs, Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal.
Skills:
- Ability to ensure HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.
- Ability to ensure administrative, physical, and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to.
- Proficient in Excel, with the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
- Proficient in Word.
- Proficient in 10-key.
- Exceptional Customer Service skills.
- Ability to communicate clear and concise information.
- Typing speed of 40 wpm.
- Organized and detail-oriented.

Potential Hiring Range:
- Salary Range: $18-$20 / hour or $37,440.00- $43,600/ year.
- Salary offered is dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
