Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aide InstructorProvide curriculum development, instruction, and coordination for Nurse Assistant/Home Health Care (CNA/HHA) training program. Candidates must also provide the coordination and supervision of clinical sites. Candidate must know and follow state Department of Public Health, Division of Health Care Quality guidelines for CNA/HHA curriculum, to include the following topics: communications and interpersonal skills; infection control; safety and emergency procedures; promoting residents' independence; respecting patients' rights. Prepare and keep materials for, and participate in periodic state on-site review to maintain DPH certification.

Part-time Community Education instructors are hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.
Please note: Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment. Qualified applicants will be contacted by the Community Education Department.
Job Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current Massachusetts RN license.
- At least two years experience as an RN.
- At least one year of experience providing long-term care services.
- At least one year of experience in lesson planning, lesson delivery, student evaluation, and remediation in a health care setting.
- Experience supervising nurse aides.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Communication skills that demonstrate sensitivity to adult learners, non-native English speakers, and diversely prepared students.
- Experience with post-secondary learning programs.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching adult learners.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge and understanding of the community college environment.
Additional Information:
Position Status: Part-time non-benefited, Community Education position
Supervisor: Director of Community Education
Semester: Academic Year Fall 2023 and Spring 2024
Hours: Class hours 5:30 - 9:30 p.m, 2 evenings per week, including a clinical component that may include evenings and weekends
Salary: Mutually agreed upon hourly rate
Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites
