SCHEDULE:
- Full-time 40-hour position
- Monday through Friday
- Night Shift
- Every other weekend plus rotating holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science
- Board Pharmacy Certified
- Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacist
- Required Work Experience: 3 years; 1 year Inpatient Pharmacy. PG Year 1 (preferred)

Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the clinical pharmacist include providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to all patients within their scope of responsibility.
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager, the clinical pharmacist will perform a variety of duties including age appropriate clinical pharmacy services, evaluation of medication orders for appropriateness, monitoring and patient follow up; drug information consultations, and support of the pharmacy department operations. It is the expectation of the clinical pharmacist to complete and document the appropriate tasks required to maintain patient specific record keeping in an electronic database.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to all patients which includes the evaluation of medication orders.
- Maintains compliance with departmental expectations of accurately reviewing, verifying, and dispensing all pharmaceuticals.
- Provides drug information services to medical, nursing and ancillary staff.
- Demonstrates direct oversight and provides supportive direction to the pharmacy technician staff.
- Demonstrates the minimum requirements as determined by the Pharmacy Leadership Team.
- Documents and manages controlled substances in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
- Maintains compliance in utilizing appropriate modes of communication.
- Participates in department programs and projects.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures and federal and state rules and regulations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Possesses excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Understands the principles of staff engagement.
- Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based setting.
Education:
Bachelor of Science: Pharmacy (Required), Doctor of Pharmacy
Certifications:
Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist – Board of Pharmacy Specialist, Licensed Pharmacist – Other
