North Oaks Communities LLC is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist who wants to make a difference in the lives of seniors every day. The Speech Language Pathologist assists in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.
Shift and Schedule: PRN as needed.
Job Functions:
- Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
- Evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
- Develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals.
- Instruct patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carryover of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
- Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
- Oversee and implement proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs.
- Participate in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents being met timely and with clinical excellence.
Observes all safety rules and regulations.
HIPAA Compliance – follows written policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality of protected health information.
OIG Compliance – follows written policies and procedures to comply with the federal and state laws and regulations.
Interacts with residents and coworkers in a friendly and respectful manner.
Compliance with North Oaks Immunization requirements.
Education & Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency.
- Current State license (or is license-eligible) in Maryland.
- Ongoing continuing education and professional development.
