At Montefiore, DOING MORE means building on a history of firsts to create the future of healthcare. For over 100 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of medicine with innovations such as the intravenous cardiac pacemaker and one of the nation's first pediatric kidney transplants. As we continue to move forward, we seek professionals who want to join our team of leaders and trailblazers to advance the health of our communities in Westchester, the Hudson Valley and the Bronx.
The Division of Critical Care Medicine, at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the nation's most prestigious academic medical centers and the primary teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is currently seeking an additional full-time Hospitalist to staff our Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (NSPCU).
The 15-bed NSPCU takes a wide variety of high-acuity neurological and neurosurgical patients. Hospitalists co-manage all patients in the NSPCU, in close collaboration with the primary teams - stroke neurology, neurosurgery, general neurology, and vascular surgery. A dedicated PA for the NSPCU reports to the hospitalist. Hospitalists have access to all the clinical and educational resources of the Division of Critical Care Medicine. Ample research opportunities exist, for those who are interested.
To qualify, you must be a board-eligible or certified in internal medicine with interests in hospital-based patient care and clinical teaching.
