Job Description
This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine laboratory tests in support of production.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform QA/QC on all samples for incoming waste
- Log all results into computer database and/or logbooks
- Notify Laboratory Manager and Operations Manager of off specification containers
- Maintain all lab equipment
- Make suggestions to Laboratory Manager on methods to improve laboratory flow and quality
- Operate the lab in a safe and efficient manner
- Aid the Laboratory Manager with inventory control of supplies
- Continually grow knowledge of laboratory information and expertise
- Properly log and perform all checks, standards and calibrations
- Occasional overtime and weekend work
- Use of company-provided personal protective equipment is required
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years’ experience in a laboratory setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of prior laboratory experience
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- Experience with basic lab techniques and calculations
- Knowledge of Gas Chromatography and/or ICP-OES
- Knowledge of chemical compatibilities
