Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- KY License
- 2 years’ experience
- Norton work history Docusign Required
- BLS
- NIH
Required Skills:
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Chemo administration (not required for all NCA contracts)
Other Details:
- Oncology unit that also takes telemetry patients
- # beds/procedures: 33 - Inpatient chemotherapy, count recovery, VATs, treatment of neutropenic fever, end of life care
- Patient ratio: Med/surg- 5:1, PCU-4:1, Chemo 3 or 4:1 (depending on type of chemo)
- Need to know how to read tele strips
- Top diagnosis/procedures: Lymphomas, leukemia, VATs, neutropenic fever
- Need to be able to titrate medication
- Common medications given: Chemotherapy (specialized trained RNs), blood products, immunotherapies
- EPIC Charting
- Scrub Color (are they provided): Galaxy blue (not provided)
