Pharmacist - Night Lead
We're looking for a dedicated pharmacist to join our overnight team!
Must-haves:
- At least 1 year of pharmacist experience in a health system
- Active pharmacist license in good standing
- Ability to work onsite
- Willing to work nights
Nice-to-haves:
- Night shift experience (any field)
- Ability to start on or before [Start Date]
- Residency training experience
- EPIC experience
- Inpatient pharmacy experience
Job Description:
As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you'll be a vital part of our multidisciplinary care team. You'll focus on antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and optimizing drug dosing. You'll also:
- Gather medication histories
- Monitor patient drug therapies
- Provide drug information to patients, nurses, and physicians
- Interpret and evaluate orders and prescriptions
- Verify orders
- Perform pharmacokinetic calculations
- Manage IV to PO conversions
- Recommend therapeutic interchanges
Our inpatient pharmacy is open 24/7. Most of our pharmacists work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. This specific role is for our overnight team, where you'll work with one other pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services. We serve a diverse patient population, including oncology, surgery, medicine, cardiology, pediatrics, critical care, and more.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (preferred) or Bachelor of Science degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (required)
- ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Vermont (required)
Experience:
- Two years of clinical pharmacist experience in a health system (preferred)
