The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a Science Lab Technician II - Biology. The incumbent assists in the maintenance of the animal house, lath house, greenhouse, exhibit areas, and other storage facilities, including dusting, cleaning, and disinfecting (as necessary) of all surfaces and equipment. Assists the Biology Technician, Senior in the preparation of the annual department budget by researching budget requests, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining spending limits. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: two years college-level course work in related science discipline and two years of experience in a science laboratory.

VETERAN'S POINTS:
Veterans not previously employed by the District, with 30 days or more of service who become eligible for appointment by attaining the passing mark established for the examination, shall be allowed an additional credit of five (5) points and disabled veterans shall be allowed an additional credit of ten (10) points, which shall be added to the percentages attained in the examinations by the veterans.
Any applicant who claims veteran's credit must submit Form DD 214 at the time the employment application is submitted. Failure to submit Form DD 214 at the time of application shall result in no veteran's credits being considered or added to any passing score.
