Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards. Interventional Pain RNs play a crucial role in the multidisciplinary approach to managing pain, focusing on improving patients' quality of life and promoting optimal functioning despite their pain conditions.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an ASBN approved nursing program.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor's in Nursing, Master's in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma.
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Arkansas.
- 1 year of direct RN experience.
- Current ACLS certification.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers nursing care according to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA and Standards for specialty patient population.
- Collects and documents assessment data.
- Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard.
- Implements POC including medical orders and interdisciplinary approach.
- Evaluates patient progress toward desired outcomes.
- Provides effective patient/family education/discharge planning.
- Administers medication per standard including drug information to patients/families.
- Acts as a resource/supports others.
- Delegates care based on ASBN Delegation Model and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to a positive work environment conducive to quality patient care and clinical education.
Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience.
