We are currently seeking a Lab Tech to work Monday - Friday 10a - 6:30p and rotating weekends.
- Phlebotomy duties.
- Routine laboratory procedures related to preparing human biological samples for microbiological, hematological, and chemical analysis.
- Performs routine and stat laboratory testing, including (but not necessarily limited to) CBC, BMP, CMP, PT, PTT, UA, PFA, rapid flu, rapid strep, occult blood, hCG, and hemoglobin A1c testing.
- Scanning of documents into patients’ charts in Cerner.
- Other duties as needed by laboratory director or supervisor.
Required Skills
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology; or bachelor's in medical technology, clinical lab science or related science
· ASCP or AMT registration as an MT/MLT/CLS preferred
· At least one year experience in Laboratory setting
· Phlebotomy certification or eligible preferred.
· Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
· Basic computer skills.
· Ability to detect color and color changes.
· BLS by AHA or obtain within 30 days from hire date
