Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is looking for a Supplemental MRI Technologist to join our growing team. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
NWOS is closed all weekends and major holidays. No night shifts or on-call.
Travel between locations is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors video display of the area being scanned and adjusts density or contrast to improve picture quality.
- Explains the procedure to the patient and positions and immobilizes the patient on the exam table.
- Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
- Reviews and evaluates computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of modern office equipment including fax machines, copiers, scanners, document management software, Electronic Medical Record, medical software, and word processing software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Knowledge of common health insurance plans and benefits.

- Day shift. No nights, no weekends, on-call, or major holidays.

Hiring Range: $24.61 to $44.63
