Job Description
The Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track teaching position with the title of Teaching Professor, rank open (Assistant, Associate, or Full), to begin August 16, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in a large undergraduate Genetics lecture/discussion course in fall and spring semesters. The Genetics course covers principles of genetics, gene and chromosome structure, gene expression, inheritance of complex traits, Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance, genomes, and genetic engineering. Duties include classroom instruction, coordinating multiple discussion sections, contributing to the course curriculum, creating course syllabi and teaching materials, and training/supervising graduate teaching assistants (TAs). Candidates with experience in genetics instruction are especially encouraged to apply.

Requirements
